If you’ve been following along with the Dozen Eggs series, you’ll know I like my designers talented, interesting, and just a little bit fun. This month’s Good Egg delivers on all fronts.
Let me introduce you to Kylie from Little Moo Designs — bag maker, pattern designer, and all-round ray of sunshine (the non-annoying kind).
I’ve known Kylie for years through the sewing world, but we only met in person earlier this year at the Liberty event. She had a booth there filled with her bag patterns and samples.
She’s exactly what you’d hope for — super optimistic, genuinely warm, and just really good fun to be around.
Kylie designs bag patterns that are practical, thoughtfully put together, and genuinely satisfying to make. The kind where things actually make sense as you go (which, let’s be honest, is not always a given), and you end up with something you’ll properly use rather than just admire.
And here’s something I really love about her — Kylie is very much community over competition. She shares, collaborates, and shows up in a way that makes the whole sewing world feel a bit more generous. No gatekeeping, no weird vibes — just a genuine love of making and bringing people along for the ride.
My personal favourite design is her Stacks On Duffle Bag. It’s one of those patterns that immediately makes you start mentally assigning fabrics you don’t yet own and justifying why you absolutely need a new bag.
For her Good Egg contribution, Kylie has shared her Clear View Pouch pattern.
It’s a super handy little project — perfect for sewing bits, travel essentials, or all the mysterious things that end up floating around in the bottom of your bag. It’s also a great place to start if you’re dipping your toe into bag making… or a quick, satisfying make if you’re not.
