I've known Jemima from Tied with a Ribbon for years. We share the same distributor, which means we've spent plenty of time together at trade shows, seeing each other at our absolute best and worst.
There has been dancing, sightseeing, some ill-advised disco roller skating and introductions to desserts I didn't even know existed.
We've laughed to the point of lady-muscle clenching and vented about the joys (and occasional horrors) of running a creative business.
We also once spent almost half a day queuing to go up the Gateway Arch in St Louis, only to be squashed into a tiny, weird little pod with a complete stranger.
The view was spectacular. The personal space was non-existent.
Jemima is one of Australia's favourite quilting teachers, regularly teaching at AQC and Missouri Star Quilt Company in the US.
But what I love most about Jemima is the person she is behind the scenes. She's the first to pop into your DMs with a "well done" or "that's a great reel".
You know those people who mention your name in rooms you're not in?
That's Jemima. A very Good Egg indeed.
